Peace Corps Requests Liberian Language Training Materials

Currently Peace Corps Liberia has 42 Peace Corps Response Volunteers and transfer Peace Corps Volunteers working in Liberia.

The first new regular Peace Corps Volunteers (24 months service plus 3 months training) will arrive in Liberia in June 2010. Check www.peacecorps.gov for additional information.

During the war the Peace Corps language training materials were looted. The Peace Corps staff in Monrovia is working to develop a language training library for the sixteen major Liberian tribal languages plus Liberian English. The Peace Corps would be
grateful to receive any original documents or photocopies, so they do not have to reinvent the wheel.
