Inspired by their Liberian colleagues, who had not been paid for 11 months yet still cared about improving their skills, the U.S. teachers went to the Ministry of Education to meet with Dr. Evelyn Kandaki about getting more support for this important teacher training network

The government of Liberia has recently mandated universal education. Teachers will be required to be certified. Stephanie, Joan and Liberian administrator Ernest Shaw asked the minister to consider having LEAP teacher training activities count toward certification. They also asked for Ministry support of the new teacher-training organization LET.
